EL MAR DIVING CENTER

The SSI SCUBA Rangers Program is for children ages 8 to 12. Scuba Rangers classes are safe, taught only by Instructors specifically trained in the SCUBA Rangers program, and will introduce your child to the underwater world.

SCUBA Rangers Philosophy

• Proper Knowledge, Rangers learn the rules of responsible SCUBA diving.
• Proper Skills, Rangers learn and practice basic SCUBA skills.
• Proper Equipment, Rangers learn to use and maintain a Total Diving System.
• Proper Experience, Rangers learn to maintain their SCUBA diving proficiency.
• Proper Training, Rangers begin out of the water, focusing on becoming comfortable with the idea of SCUBA diving, and learning about breathing, helping peers, and becoming familiar with their equipment.

SCUBA Rangers Levels
"Training is split into 5 different levels. The kids are taught the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and successful SCUBA Divers in a fun controlled environment. Rangers get a ribbon tied around their snorkel for each level they complete, contributing to their feeling of success and ownership."

• Level 1, Red Ranger, Rangers demonstrate their swimming skills, learn how to use their Snorkeling System and how to help others.
• Level 2, White Ranger, Rangers are introduced to the Total SCUBA Diving System, and use it in the pool for the first time.
• Level 3, Blue Ranger, Rangers continue learning new SCUBA Skills.
• Level 4, Silver Ranger, Rangers continue learning through underwater games, increasing their comfort.
• Level 5, Demo Ranger, rangers can demonstrate their SCUBA skills to Friends and Family.

Junior Open Water SCUBA Encompasses

• Junior Open Water Divers, that are 10 Thru 14 years old may only dive with a Scuba Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 40 feet.

Prerequisites

• Completed Medical Statement w/ Doctors(MD) Signature if required
